Their mission is to make sure children are receiving a quality education in accordance with IDEA 2004 and ensure children are not left behind.
Medicaid - Some of our children may qualify for medicaid for medical assistance. For more information, contact www.dss.mo.gov. Such assistance may be MC Plus or Medical Assistance for disabled children if they do not have medical insurance. The monthly maximum required income is over $5000 for MC Plus so it is worth checking into. If your child has medical insurance, they may still qualify but the maximum allowable amount is about $2000 per month for MC Plus. Medical Assistance for Disabled children is another program to assist our kids and you may qualify even though you are in a higher income bracket. Medical Assistance for Disabled Children can be reached at 314-416-2700 and is located on South Lindbergh.

Project Access - http://education.missouristate.edu/access - Project ACCESS provides autism resource information to public schools in the form of on-site and telephone consultations, as well as support via internet. These trainings are offered to Missouri school district staff and educators who work with youngsters ages 0-21 years, who experience Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related disabilities. Doing What Works (DWW) http://dww.ed.gov Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, DWW is dedicated to helping educators identify and make use of effective teaching practices. The content is based on the Institution of Educational Science's What Works Clearinghouse (WWC). The WWC evaluates research on practices and interventions to let the education community know what is likely to work.
